5 years... What an accomplishment.

Yes, thank you. I've had a blast for these past five years. Marriage is awesome. Here's how we celebrated on Saturday, July 12th.

Our day started off by opening presents. Jason got me a brand new bike, complete with a basket and a super loud bell. I love it. I love him.

Jason received a long board skateboard, tickets to see the Foo Fighters at Red Rock in Colorado, and personalized business cards. Those are in the mail. It was a lovely way to start the day.

Soon after our ride down the street and back to test out our new rides, we headed to Pops for breakfast. Pancakes the size of plates, and enough butter to last a lifetime. Straight to my thighs. I must say it was a delicious breakfast.

After our tummys were full, he drove to the Huntington Library, which is where we got engaged 6 years ago. The gardens were as beautiful as I remembered, and the art is amazing. I feel so cultured now. Look what Jason found while he was there! Paradise!! Or just me. Actually, this was his favorite part of the day. The Huntington Herb Gardens. He found hops!! Boy, Jason Parks should have been there. After that, we made our annual trek out to Beverly Hills to dine at The Stinking Rose, the most amazing garlic restaurant out there. Yum. I think that Jason and I probably ate 38 cloves of garlic between us. We totally smelled on Sunday at church. No one loved us but God that day.

At midnight Jason couldn't sleep, so we traveled out to the backyard to smoke a cigar. We figured it was the perfect time, since we already smelled awful. I hate cigars, and so he enjoyed the smoke by himself. I do love this picture of him. Very artsy.

I couldn't have asked for a more perfect day. Jason Yost is amazing.

What an awesome day it sounds like you had. Isn't is crazy to think that we have been married for this long? We are on 6+ years too. Time sure flies but it is so fun too. I really want us all to get together sometime. Congrats on everything and I wish you nothing but happiness and love in the future. I love you!

You guys went all out, very cool, and congrats.

So Jason was smoking cigars and drinking on the porch while you watched at midnight? Was Olive smoking it up too?
