Pictures with Paul

"Hey Paul, could you please take a picture of the three of us?"

I then hand Paul the camera, and this is what I get...Thanks Paul, thanks.

Here's what it should have looked like.... the first time!!!

Just for that, I'm posting this picture of us.

Paul loves hanging out with me. Look at the expression on his face.

Pure joy.

One in Twenty-five.

My aunt Debbie was down visiting from Boston last week, and she was reading this book called "The Sociopath Next Door." She gave it to me to read, and now I'm beginning to think that everyone I know is a sociopath. This book claims that 4 percent of people are sociopaths. That's a lot of whacked out people, don't you think?

Just to clarify, my next door neighbor is not a sociopath. She has a conscious. I know it.

Anniversary In Denver (Well, kind of)

It's been a while, I know. Here's a Mister Parks blog for y'all.

Jason and I finally made it to Denver to see the Foo Fighters play at Red Rocks. It was one of the best vacations that we've taken in a long time.

We left for Denver on Saturday morning and Joanne was so nice to pick us up from the airport. We stopped by the local farmer's market to pick up items for dinner, and then headed back to Michelle Kwan's apartment for some much needed napping and laying out by the pool. That night Jason fixed us some yummy fajitas, and then in true Denver style, we went out on the town. We hung out with JoJo, Nettie, and Nick. Good, clean fun.

Sunday we woke up and traveled about 30 minutes to Broomfield, not to see the New Kids On The Block, but to hang out with Ron and Diane Kozovich(but let me tell you, just as fun as NKOTB). We celebrated Diane's birthday at PF Changs and took a trip to the local Barnes and Noble. Eventually, we all ended up somehow in the magazine aisle, and Ron, Joanne's dad found a magazine named The "B" word. He then proceeded to tell Lynette that he would get her a subscription for her birthday. Ron is so funny sometimes. I'll make sure not to get on his bad side! I also found a tabletop bowling game for $3, and couldn't pass it up. I had to buy it. I just got it in the mail. Thanks, BFF.

On Monday Joanne had to work, so we dropped her off and then stole her car for the day. We toured the Coors Factory and got a little loopy on the free 30 ounces of beer you get after completing the tour. Wow, that's a big place.

After we left there, we headed out to Hammond Candy Factory to tour their little place. If you don't know, Hammond makes all of the hard ribbon candy that you see at Christmas time. It was really neat. This is one of their old candy presses.

We bought twenty dollars worth of candy.

By the time we finished that tour, it was time to pick up Joanne from work. We got there a little early, so we decided to wait for her at the Johnny Rockets across the street. Jason and I were hungry for a snack, because all we had eaten was candy and beer, so what did we decide to eat? Yes, cheese fries. It was our only option. Stomach ache followed.

Joanne met us about 15 minutes later, and we spent the evening at home. Just so you all know, Joanne lives in a really fancy place. They have a free movie rental thing in the lobby. Fancy, huh? We went downstairs to pick a movie out at the concierge desk for the night and I saw her!! Michelle Kwan, a real life superstar. I was in awe. I didn't know what to do. I stared and I'm sure I was rude. Hey, it's not every day that you see a Olympic Medalist!

Gone, Baby, Gone was the movie we picked. It was very good. I'd recommend it to anyone. Michelle loved it.

Tuesday was the best day of our trip. Joanne let us borrow her car again, and so we went to the Denver Art Museum and the Botanical Gardens. The museum was just okay. They had some neat stuff, but the gardens were much more impressive. They grow hops, water lilies,

and love!

FOO FIGHTERS ROCK!!! Look how happy Jason was!

Definitely one of the best bands I've ever seen in concert. Absolutely amazing. Joanne and I signed up at the concert to be designated drivers and they gave us free soda. They also hooked us up with these totally tubular wristbands. Don't we look responsible?

Home on Wednesday. End of Vacation. End of Fun. End of Blog.
